Wool is a magical fiber. Almost. You need to remember a few things about its care so that our blanket maintains its appearance for many years.

Our blankets are made of 100% New Zealand wool. Like any natural raw material, it requires special care to maintain its properties and durability for many years. Generally, the easiest way to maintain longevity is to avoid frequent care treatments. Wool has a way of... cleaning itself. It does not accumulate dust or dirt. It is enough to air the blanket regularly in the fresh air.

However, remember that it is 100% pure wool without artificial fibers, which is why it has special features:

  • it is not super soft and fluffy to the touch - like wool;
  • has a specific, natural smell - after all, it comes from an animal. The smell will disappear on its own after a few months, air the blanket regularly in fresh air;
  • the blanket has a natural tendency to pill, to prevent this use a wool brush and any pills that have already appeared can be removed with a wool comb;
  • Comb the blanket in the direction of the hair, after moistening it with water or water with added lanolin:

How to care for, wash and clean wool blankets?

  • use a wool brush from time to time, brush in the direction of the hair, you can moisten the blanket with water or water with lanolin beforehand, this will make combing easier and the water will not soak into the wool;
  • dry clean - WE RECOMMEND
  • Wool does not absorb dust, so there is no need to wash it frequently;
  • Air and shake the blanket regularly in the open air, the fibers will regenerate and refresh;
  • if you have to, you can wash the blanket in water: hand at max. 30*,
  • do not spin or wring, dry the blanket flat;

A wool blanket is stain-resistant and easy to keep clean, thanks to the fact that wool has natural antibacterial and moisture-wicking properties. It is also hypoallergenic, which is important for people with allergies or a tendency to allergies. Such a blanket is also an excellent thermal insulator, thanks to which it keeps you warm on colder days. Wool is also fire-resistant, which is another plus for safety. A New Zealand wool blanket is durable and with proper care can serve for many years.
